Thank you, Dennis. I don't think I have ever worked that hard for a 5th in my life. There are some fast old farts in the southeast!

There was lots of GGs at the National. I couldnt believe how many there were.

Mine was there. Got 8th in the 50+b class and that was with running out of gas and going on reserve twice.

I had lots of gas left at the gas stop and at the end of the day.

I did go onto reserve in Sumter though.

I went back through the results and counted 23 Gassers entered. That's something like 3% of the total entries. That sounds pretty low until you remember that the first national in 2010 had 3 GG's entered. Then it sounds better!

I had a rough day at the Sandlapper. Crashed 3 times in the first two sections - bent a radiator, bars and handgaurd. Had my jetting screwed up - it was so lean I was afriad I was doing damage so made a quick change between sections. Finally had to pull out at the c-cutoff with a flat front tire that I rode on for the last 1/2 of section 4. Now that was a rough bit of trail.

2010 Sandlapper had 20 Huskys entered and 11 Gassers. This years event saw 23 Huskys...and 24 Gassers.

Rod I'm not sure how accurate those numbers are because I was looking through them and someone I know on a Husaberg was listed was HUS and someone I know was on a Husqvarna was also listed as HUS.
