Sad development with a major player in Gas Gas history

Grants

There is a company in my town that got one of these loans and bought equipment, hired employese, met the guidelines and the day the restrictions were met layed off the people they were supposed to help, kept the equipment and has streamlined the business at the tax payers of Michigan expence.

You are the first I have heard who had anything good to say about Mr. Knight. Personally, Gas Gas is much better without him IMO.

Greg

Barkeater didn't say anything good about the "subject". He was merely insulating himself against a possible defamation suit. :)

I'm not saying anything positive or negative about him... I'm just sayin'.;)

I don't believe a board like this should be used to tear someone down, regardless of how they led thier life or ran their business. That's for all of you to decide for yourselves based on your individual experience with the person or business. I've met some really good people who run questionable businesses, questionable people who run good businesses and everything in between.

'Nuff said?

I think barkeater brought that news to us in a very professional manner, just fact.

The thing that seems to set this board apart from others is the lack of negativity and bashing threads. Its easy to moderate as the members here are a great bunch. Thank You.

I for 1 appreciate the post. He & his family are very well known in off-road circles around here. I wish it weren't so.

This was news to me also. But, I would not have found out had it not been for this post.

At least Don will still be in "manufacturing", it will just be license plates.........

Although a lot of guys dont like Mr Knight, I dont think Gas Gas would even be in existence in North America today without him.

True.
I remember going to some SERA events in 1998- 2001 or so, and there was a sea of Gas Gas'.

I personally have never had any problems with him. He was very instrumental in me receiving my 2001 SE 250.
