Scott's sub mount question.....

I ordered a Scott's sub-mount dampener with the BRP triple and handlebar clamps, and got to thinking while driving down the road..........do I need to buy a longer throttle or any other cable since the bars will be raised nearly an inch? If so, any suggestions from someone who has this setup would be great. Thanks. 2011 EC 300

I would think the cable would definitely need replaced. I know my cable is not nearly long enough to raise my clamps an inch.

If the OEM cable is the same as its been in prior years, its borderline short with the stock setup. The longer Motion Pro cable is mandatory for safety IMO.

ok, thanks guys. Glenn....could you possibly tell which Motion Pro cable to order? I have no idea what size or how long I need. I'm still learning these small details and would feel better with some advice on this. oh, and what about brake line and clutch cable? Thanks. 2011 EC 300

I called Motion Pro and they said they had no information on my bike and the best thing for me to do is to sent them my stock cable and how much length they need to add to it. Would be like a 2 week process.......is there a faster way? 2011 EC 300

You have two MP cable options, one as Girard linked too being the KTM cable with the secure ends, and the other being an extended GG cable, which has been around for awhile and is distributed by Gofasters and most dealers. I have used this on my '07 when I tried a submount and it was fine.
