Tore the seat on my beloved 250, had to slap a patch on it, thought I'd share.

Looks good. Where did you get the leather? Reason I ask is my Dad worked with leather as a hobby. Belts, gun holsters, ext. I still have an old suitcase full and find lots of uses for it.

I've always thought that oil tanned leather would make good frame guards.

HuskyDude, like your pop, I work leather as well. Have a bunch of pieces laying around and figured this would be better than running out to buy a seat cover for a small tear. LankyDoug you're right, leather would make for great protection in some areas, thanks for the tip.
