I'm going to have a stock set of shiver forks available from my 05 fse450. Will upper and lower clamp and such will be included. Replacing them with a pair of ohlins.

Make me an offer.

I think you'll need the axle from this bike as well. I'm putting a set of ohlins from a 02 onto the bike, so if that fits I can't see where the shivers wouldn't work for you. I'll include the axle as well.

spd,
I have an 03 FSE with Ohlins, and I have a 04 300 with Shivers. The axles are completely different. The Ohlins axle is a much smaller diameter. I didn't swap forks, because I didn't want to swap wheels as well.

That's what I was afraid of. Swapping wheels adds to the expense. Thanks for the info.

Not sure about the Olins axle dia.(probably 20mm) but seems like you could just switch out the bearings for ones with the same OD but a smaller ID. You would also need to downsize the Dia of the internal wheel spacer.

That's what I'd do.

Tony might be on to something. I'll take a better look at the hubs and berings.

Last year I swapped out a set of 45mm Zokes for USD WP's on my 99 EC200. I used the same wheel, just replaced the bearings, seals axle spacers. All OEM parts...easy swap, since all the bike all use the same front hub.

Hi, I have a 1998 ec250 and I was wondering if the 2005 Shivers or the 2003 43mm wp were still available? Any idea how each would compare to the stock 1998 conventionals on it now?

Well since I'll need to swap out the bearings and stuff to fit the ohlins onto the bike, I can include those parts with the fork's to make it an easier swap for someone.

Pulled the triple clamps and everything off my bike this week. It'll include the wheel bearings, internal spacer, seals, the two little spacers on the outside of the hub, triple clamps, head bearings, forks. No fork guards. I can include and old se if you like, but the hardware isn't there. The ohlins I picked up didn't have any so I had to use the shiver stuff for them. I'll have pictures up this afternoon. $350 shipped in the 48?

You can see one spot where the coating is wearing through to the chrome. Other then that they look good.

A few questions...

What is the spring rate in the forks?

Does the triple clamp have the dual position bar mount?

What was the stock wheel bearing number?

No idea on the fork rates. They are stock from my 07 ec250. It does have the dual position bar mount and I have 3 spacers for each side to adjust weight as well. They are an 1 1/8 clamp. On the wheel bearings do you want the gas gas part number or the actual bearing number itself? The bearing is a 6905RS. After looking at these ones closer I'd say a fresh pair wouldn't be the worst thing.

The bearing number was what I was looking for. The 6905 bearing has different dimensions than the 6004 bearings (earlier years).

I did PM this to you but in case you dont read it .

Do you still have the forks and triple clamps for sale?
Any idea if they will fit on a 98 ec250?
Would you post to the UK?

regards
Darren
