Its not the 1080, there was some confusion in the description, but from what I read on one site the 1080 is a little too much for a helmet cam. Anyway, I ordered it at 4 pm, it was on the Fed Ex truck by 5:30 pm and had it in a couple of days. Its a great little package, includes all kinds of stuff you would normally have to buy extra like the headband mount, two different sticky mounts, and a short adjustable arm.
The video quality really surprised me, and I do photography and video production for a living. I never would buy one of these things because I figured I would never be satisfied with the quality, but I was wrong. Its not as good as some of my other cameras of course, but much better than I imagined and better than examples you see on the web. The 960 is the way to go as far as form factor, it gives a much better aspect ratio than widescreen for use on pretty much anything I could imagine for a POV camera. Also the sound quality really impressed me, no wind noise!
The only complaint I had was what is known as roll off, which is a term used for gradation from bright to dark, or rather lack of. It goes from brighter, brighter, to completely white rather quickly. In a bright blue sky there would be a white arch near the horizon that lacked any color or detail even though it wasn't that bright and not much brighter than the sky, even 180 degrees from the sun. I have only used it once, maybe it won't be as bad in future trips, and I was on top of a mountain which made it much more apparent.
It was certainly worth the money!
