Snapped Mainjet

like fu**ng always, I am extremely unlucky. This time, my mainjet snapped in the thread even though It wasnt that tight. Now, the big question. How am I going to get this out? I have heard that you can drill up the hole in the jet so its larger, that way you can use a screw extractor. I still wanted to make this post because I dont want to mess up cause I am NOT buying a new carb. Kind regards and thanks in advance

The idea is to use the smallest one (3mm, hence why I need to drill the hole since it is 1.7mm ish)
I guess you just screw it in (anti-clockwise) and this should come out right?

Left handed drill bits are small an can work as well. Harbor Freight has a cheap set that would work well for this.

Good to hear, it's always a great feeling when those break loose and come out!

I bought some left hand drills but not had chance to use them. Actually forgot about them, so thanks for reminding me.
Must be a first with extractors. Never heard of them actually working before.

The thing is to use as small an extractor as possible. This leaves the maximum strength in the part you are removing. Too large an extractor risks expanding the part you want to remove, wedging it more in place. Sometimes drilling a hole and tapping in an allen key or other bit with straight sides is better.

Literally did the same thing today, got it with an easy out. It was hand tight barely, probably could have used a tiny Phillips head to get it out.
