alright, i changed out my gearbox oil, and now it seems that my countershaft seals are leaking (countershaft is on the front sprocket correct? just makin sure im using the right word.) there is oil soaking my whole front sprocket. basically i would like to know what all needs to be replaced, and if at all possible, how to go about doing it. sorry if this is a really dumb question, i just dont know that much about servicing a bike and i cant really afford to mess up.
Thanks!

yes you got the proper terminology!! I believe there may be two parts an inner seal and an outer seal, o rings maybe. I have changed the outer seal ... it was a real pain to get out, in fact I destroyed it gettng it out ... was a pain getting the new one back in. You gotta be careful putting it back on. it will want to wobble side to side going in. I can't remeber what I used to drive mine on but I think a good size socket would work well. Check the parts fiche on the gofaster website.

Not a easy job for sure...once out and you're looking for a proper size of something to fit the OD of the seal check out some plastic plumbing pipe sizes. I think they're a pretty good match.

it looks like 2 orings on the inner side of a "sifht seal" (i assume they mean shift seal? i have the parts breakdown pdf file on my computer, and thats how part no. 24 is spelled.) which all seem to squish up next to the seal. which of these do i take out? the "sifht" seal is closest to the sprocket.
however, my gf's dad said that my chain tension may be too tight, and that may be pulling the shaft aside allowing oil past. but it doesn't seem too tight. the manual says 30-50mm of play at the back of the chain slide, but they do not say if that is to be measured with the bike on the stand, with the bike under its own weight, or with me on it, but in all of those the chain is still loose. i still consider this a possibility though, as i have just started riding in the woods recently and have been working the suspension more than previously (before last weekend i was only riding in the yard and on the field road. i said that i was a noob and i meant it.)
now as far as getting the seal out: in one of the dirt rider articles they show somebody drilling two little holes in the seal, and then pushing a piece of safety wire through it and pulling it out. have you ever done this?
how would i go about testing if its the chain tension or not? (im just chock full of questions arn't i?) sorry. i get to thinking then i start asking all sorts of questions.

we got all sorts of bushings around for different tractor parts that i should be able to find something to fit. so if its the seals, should/could i get them both done from the outside? or should i just try the outer one and see if that is the problem. (that is all assuming the chain tension is not the problem)
