What is the point of KTM having GasGas and Husq when they are all identical? It is almost literally the same bike with different colors. Why is that?
Also, will the Spanish GasGas we love ever come back?

Yep, if you want the real Spanish GasGas bikes you need only look to Rieju and their Ranger, MR, and MR Pro series of bikes.
Even though Thumpstar has been working with Pibernat I don't think their engines will ever resemble the legacy Gassers. I think he's taking them in a new direction and it hasn't really panned out so far.
As for KTM, it's funny IMO. They bought GasGas to get the trials line of bikes. Then they decided to make the GasGas an entry level KTM with cheaper parts. I've ridden the KTM Gassers and, personally, like them way better than the KTM or Husqvarna versions. I think it's a better bike off the showroom floor than the other two yet is the cheap model. Go figure!
Of course, with that said, give me a real Spanish Gasser or Rieju any day!
