any suggestions whats the best one to get as i'm fed up changing the battery in my standard one, which is only lasting about 2 weeks, or is there a way i can fit one like they have on the drz e models,

My buddy had a trailtech on his yz a couple years ago, he was pretty happy with it. Just curious but what year is your bike?

I agree ,
I have an 07 ec 300 and the speedo is the acewell type . The battery only lasts about two or three weeks. I am sick of changing it too.
Is there a better alternative?
Cheers Mark

it's a 2002 model, are the trailtech hard to fit, or how do you fit them, i have heard about them, but was just shopping around to see if there was a alternative,

TrailTechs have a few ways to mount. I bought the $10 bracket and mounted it the the triple clamp.

You can mount it anywhere really, I mounted it on a home made bracket that was just an extension of the bracket they send with it.
One important bit of info though..... DO NOT MOUNT IT WHERE PETROL WILL GET ON IT AS THE TRAILTECH UNIT WILL MELT... BELIEVE ME IT DOES.

Trail Tech Vapours are good, I have one on my '03 EC200 and its a ripper of a unit. Does Tacho, Speedo, Engine Temp, has a clock, trip meter. Doesn't have an odo though is its only let down

I just got an 03 EC250 and the speedo looks like it's dead as it don't turn on. So I can use the Trailtech endurance on this bike? Also I notice this bike does not have a battery and the Vapor looks like you need a battery for it so which one would be my best replacement?

Thank you in advance for your help:D

ah well spotted mate, i did'nt notice that, will give bikeshop a ring tomorrow and ask them

My '03 200 doesn't have a battery, I just have it wired straight into the headlight power source (I think) and it runs fine. The only thing you gain out having it wired into the bikes power, is that the backlight fires up when the bike does, you don't actually need to do it

I didn't bother doing it on mine. As bearman said it only provides the backlighting.

Until I got a Trailtech for my 04 300, I put a push button "kill" switch on the 9volt battery that feeds the 300 instrument panel, worked great.
I have a vapor now, and have it wired to a 9 volt battery for a little brighter backlight while riding, that works great as well.
Trailtech advises not to hook the power lead to the 2t stator.
