I need to install new springs on my 2011 EC300SD. I am looking for a srping rate selection Chart which will help me choose the proper springs ( Fr & Rear)for a 200-215 lb Rider ... Any Suggestions ?? I am not going to do a Re-valve yet , Got a lot of work to do for the sons bike this year for him to race and it will soak up my budget ... So spring change is something I can do myself
I am also interested who's spring you guys are running and where you bought them if you have done this yourself as well !
Thanks in advance

LTR did my Ohlins front and Ohlins rear on my 03 EC200. Les recommended 4.6 front and 5.6 rear and it worked out perfectly. I weigh 210lbs without gear.

I bet you will like .46 in the front but I think a 5.8 or even 6.0 will get your sag right. I shoot for 105 sag out west but you will probably like less on the east coast.

I just did one of these for a guy about your weight. The 0.46 fronts are correct, but the 5.6 might be a tad too much in the rear. When you're buying the rear spring, try to get an Ohlins as well - some of the others are 'close' but not right on in terms of ID.

True statement about the diameter. I had to have a collar made so that my shock spring would not move around and rub the shock. Springs aren't always the rate they are supposed to be so either test the rate 1st or be prepared to install more than one to get the SAG correct. I have a 5.6 on my Husky that took a lot less preload than the 5.6 on my GasGas to get the same SAG numbers. (plus my Husky is a heavier bike)

Without a revalve in the fork, those .46s will make the sloppy rebound feel even worse.

i'm about 195 lbs before gear, about 230 after i'm dressed and loaded. 3 liter camelbak, toolbelt, boots, helmet and gear is surprising! I put 46's in my forks and a 5.6 on my rear ohlins, and the bike rides and handles real nice. I had my local suspension guy change out the stock base pistons for some nice high flow ones. good suspension, just got real nice!! I'm a firm believer in strong springs with very little preload on them. nice and cushy, and still plenty capable of handling those holy chit moments!
