Steering stabilizer options for '03 EC200

So, stupidity sold my Scott's stabilizer with my ktm a couple months ago. I need one for my EC200. I looked on GPR, Motospotz, Fastway, etc. The only company that lists Gasgas is Scott's. I know some of you are running other brands though. What gives?

Im running the motosportz under bar on my '12 300 and find it does a great job and is extremely easy to adjust on the fly. I would buy another.

Contact them directly via email.

I use a Scotts with a home made under bar bracket and a weld on tower.

Works very well.

I have a W.E.R. on my 2003 EC250. I'm thinking about taking it off because it doesn't seem to need it, but maybe it's doing something I'm missing.
I'm curious what makes you want to run a steering Stabilizer.

I'm wondering if it's because in Minnesota we don't have a lot of rocks and the trails in general are pretty smooth.

We have rocks everywhere we ride and I know it has saved me many times in the past. It helps provide stability too which is nice for woods riding with all of the rocks and roots we have here.

GPR said they only have them down to '07

I've got emails in to a couple other vendors.

Toadl: if you really sell your WER let me know. I'm interested.

I also have a WER that was on my 200. Took it off to see if there was any noticeable difference......not really.....the GG is planted and stable even at race speeds and single track trail speeds.

On the other hand I have a GPR mounted with a Fastway bar clamp and Applied triple tree on my YZ 125 would not dare to race without it!
Both bikes have proper suspension set up for my weight, but the 200 just has a much more stable feel......could be the wheelbase, or the fact that I'm just more aggressive on the 125.

Fastway is also a no go although they said there's works with a Scott's mount. Haven't heard from Motosportz yet. I didn't contact WER yet, but would assume they have a Gasgas mount as so many Gasgas guys use them.

Looks like Scott's one WER. I've always run Scott's and loved it, but was just curious about other options.

I notice the lack of stabilizer even more on the 200. The Gasgas is a very stable chassis, but the lightness of the bike is noticeable compared to the 250 and 300 and for all of the roots and rocks we run I will be adding the stabilizer.

I have a GPG on my 03 250 the mount is some YZ? I called them and had to talk with one of the techs.

If you are planing on buying new get the Scotts far better than GPR or WER

Motosportz emailed me and said he could hook me up. Kelly is a great guy with awesome customer service.

A fellow member offered up his WER and I took him up on his offer.

Like I said, the stabilizer isn't something I feel I need most of the time, but when you get into those rock gardens at speed or hit that off camber root, it really can save you. I'm still pretty sore from my rocky get off a couple weeks ago. Looking forward to running the WER!

Thanks Todd!

On my 05 200 I run a WER and noticed a difference from before to after . Still suck in the eastern pa rocks !

I'm curious how it's working for you. I had an Enduro last weekend in Wisconsin that was pretty rocky by my standards, but by the time I got to the rocky sections I was too tired to carry any speed through them.

I've got it mounted up, but haven't had a chance to ride yet. Heading out on Friday for a good test. I'll post a follow up. Im sure its going to be noticeable in the NW rocks and roots!

Did a nice little rip today to test out the WER. I found it very noticeable. Did a comparison through the same stretch of singletrack. Had 3 log crossings and 4 little rock gardens with fist size loose and larger embedded rocks.

I started with it cranked all of the way. Reminded me of my Scott's. Very noticeably stable but slows down the quick turning of the 200.

Then backed it off to 1 turn out. This is what WER recommends for their enduro riders. It lets the bike turn quicker. It's barely noticeable.

Finally ran it at 1 1/2 turns out. Seems to be a happy medium. Still has that quick turning, but you can feel it working.

I also jumped on my sons EC200 with no stabilizer and it is very noticeable without one! Deflection and bars yanked hard once in the rocks.

Very pleaded to have a stabilizer again!

Thanks again Todd!

Another good test for the stabilizer the other day. This area is loaded with roots. You come around a tight corner and have large exposed roots crossing the trail that a mostly off camber. I know for sure the stabilizer saved me several times from the bars twisting badly out if my hands.

Did some nice downhills too with rocks and roots. The WER just gives you the security of charging knowing that the bars aren't going to twist sharply on you.

Thanks again Todd!

Glad you like it. Maybe I should have played with the settings more, but I haven't had any problems without out it. I did an enduro two weeks ago that involved a long dried up creek bed. By the time I got to it I was too tired to carry any speed through it.
