Hey guys another question for all you gas gas gurus out there.. Should my swing arm have any play in it? Took the wheels out to replace the bearings and noticed theres a bit of play in it side to side..? I have the bolt torqued up to 82 which I believe is right..? but still a bit of play in it?
Cheers luke

if it slides sideways on the swing arm bolt, and is not wiggeling sideways at the wheel end, it is probably nothing wrong with your bearings. There must be a slight sideways play else the swingarm would not freely move. It should not be much and if you are seeing more than 1 mm there is something wrong.
Over time your swingarm will see some wear on the inner faces of the mounts where the swingarm fits to the inner flanges of the needle bearing shafts, as dirt and grit can get there. There are no bearing surfaces holding the swingarm sideways, hence the play. You can measure the play between the swingarm and the shaft flange with a feeler gauge.
