Tahuya Conditions

Took my nephew and grandson out to the Sand Hill gravel pit in Tahuya riding area this morning. Gravel pit was fine 90% of the pit was snow free. Rode some of the trails out of the gravel pit. About a half mile out of the gravel pit there is still 3 to 4 inches of snow. If the ATV's have ridden it then there is a couple of partially bare ruts to ride otherwise it is slush and snow 3 to 4 inches deep. Looks like at least another week before the trails are ridable and then they might still be difficult in spots. If you need a riding "fix" though, you can make hot laps around the gravel pit like a motocross track. I will keep an eye on it during the week and post again Friday.

Ya I heard it's a pretty wet sloppy ride with alot of hanging brush and tress down out there.

You guys should venture up to Anacortes. It was snow free a couple weeks ago when we drove by on our way to Oak Harbor Enough for a short day ride.
