Two Stroke Mix App

I checked my app store. There's quite a few apps for calculating fuel/oil mix ratios. If someone can order motorcycle parts...why wouldn't someone just purchase, or order a ratio-rite or similar device & be done with it? Just my opinion.

Can't carry a ratio rite on the trail. I have used my app more than once because my bike never burns exactly 2 gal. Of gas between fuel stops. Makes it nice when you come to a remote gas station and it takes 1.87 gal. to fill it back up. There is an app for that!

Point taken. I just carry the necessary fuel to complete a particular ride. Yes, it adds weight...Few things suck like discovering a fuel source is dried up. I'm a worse case scenario sort of person...I carry more seemingly useless crap than 3 people. That said, I have a mix ratio app...just in case.

We only have one place that is an issue. The trail is is a 75 mile loop and there is a gas station almost exactly halfway it works out pretty good. Everywhere else we ride around here the truck is usually within a few miles and the trail loops are all under 40 miles

I bought this once, then fill with my normal fully synth 2 stroke.

I use 30ml per litre, so if I fill up 6.735 litres, i just multiply the 2 together

30x6.735 = 202.5ml

Only time I ever pre mix in a can is if I'm going to a race or track

We have done 80-100 miles several times and I was on my 2011 300EC. I just brought one of these with gas already mixed. http://www.amazon.com/Platypus-Plus...d=1420814360&sr=8-12&keywords=platypus+filter

Wow! You can do 100 miles with only 1 extra liter of fuel? Guess that shows the difference in terrain we ride. I am sucking fumes at 40 miles but most of our stuff is lugging the bike in 2nd gear so 40 miles takes a while. I have an old MSR 1 liter aluminum fuel bottle that I carry just in case I can't make it to the gas station at the halfway point

Is that a stock tank? Thats a jetting issue, not terrain. The stuff we have here is very tight, snotty and slick. I would get almost 80 miles with one tank before I needed to fill up.

Yep stock tank but this was on my 05 300. Haven't got to ride my 2011 yet so idk how far I will get with it. I did adjust the float level and went with nedw needle

Gotcha!

The guy I bought my 300 was a long time Gas Gas owner, so he had it jetted perfectly and it was a fire breather also.
