Vancouver Bike Show

Spent the weekend at the Vancouver Bike show. At the booth we had a 09 EC250, 10 EC300x and a couple TXT Pro Trials machines. Met lots of people. Talk to Jason Britton (Super Bikes TV Show) at the Parts Canada booth very busy place with everyone wanting autographs. Ya know he's a very down to earth type guy.
Supermoto demonstration was kinda lame, if you were not in the front row you couldn't see much for the kinda crowds that were they. Better bleachers were a must.
Dave Fair from GasGasPacific was kind enough to lend a TXT Pro bike to be displayed at the Amsoil booth which in turned meant some of the Amsoil girls would come over to the GG booth. Smart man that Dave Fair. We also had a TV set up showing the latest greatest Trials events from around the world. The crowds that stopped to watch that were huge. More people to look at the GG brand. No doubt he planned that too.
All in all the show was good with a lot of new looks for 2010.

Funny of the 5 support crew at the booth 4 of us were named Dave.
Here's all the Daves... I'm sure there is a song out there about that.

It is a beauty!

Saw the 2010 at Dave's shop - it is a real looker - congrats!

Can you ride yet in Kamloops? Too bad you didn't have it last week with the warm stretch.

I believe GGPacific has one more EC300 in a crate confirmed it is a Cross Country.
We can ride here in Kamloops. Just a bid of snow left at higher elevations.
But I still have to rip her down and do all the checks on her.
I'll be lucky if I even get at her this weekend. Hey a least she's in the garage keeping warm with the others.:D

The 2010s sure are lookers. Dave, this is Steve, let me know if you need any tips on setting up the new bike.

By the way guys, after checking out the new 2010 EC300, I gotta say that GasGas has really improved the overall fit and finish. The new tank, new plastic, etc are all really great. The attention to detail on things like the seat and seat fastener really put the GasGas on another level. All that said, I ended up getting a brand new EC250 racing. The price was right and I wanted the better sachs forks. I'll probably toss on some 2010 plastic though as the new shrouds fit on the older bikes, same for the new rear fender.

According to Mark at Gofasters the new rear fender may not cover up the airbox since the side number plates are smaller on the 2010 gassers. The new smaller air box does fit and I'm going to make the change on my 07 as soon as a full kit without graphics is available. The 2010 plastics not only look way way better the new air box covers are a lot easier to remove and replace as well.

Uhhhh, as far as I could tell the airbox is identical. Looked like the fender would bolt on no problemo. I could be mistaken though.
