Wanted Blue headlight plastic or number plate

I would prefer the blue headlight shroud (I don't need the actual light unless you can't separate them?), but I might just buy a blue number plate too if that's all I can find? Let me know what you have?

This is for an '03 DE300

For some reason, I really detest this red headlight on the blue bike. However, it will work great to move it over to my red 250.

Front Number Plate

If you're interested...
I have a used number plate with small LED light. Here is a pic when it was installed on my old bike. The LED light is a simple 2-wire connection. This allows you to keep your wiring intact and remain "legal"... at least in Michigan to pass inspections. As you can see, there are no numbers only a white background on black number plate (round LED in middle). Comes with a center mounting bolt, lower bolt/nut (for fender) and brake hose guide.

$15 + US shipping cost.

I think I still have a blue headlight shell exactly like the red one you have on your bike. I would be interested in trading if you want to go that route.

Hmm, that doesn't look bad. Does it have the rubber mounts that attach to the fork tubes?

The number plate mounts with a bolt and spacer to the upper triple clamp. If your clamp doesn't have a mounting hole, then a M6x1.0 threaded hole would need to be drilled and tapped. The bottom of the plate has a mounting hole for attaching it to the fender (with bolt and nut).

There are two molded in pegs on the number plate. These could be used for lower mounting points if you had a bracket mounted on the lower triple clamp (looks like a L-shaped mounting bracket). My last bike had these provisions so it was an easy bolt-on item.

EDIT: Gasser's option may be the best route for you. My offer is still there in case nothing else works out for you.

Regards,
Matt

I think I'm going to hang onto the red headlight shroud. I'm slowly trying to get all new plastics for my '01 XC250 to replace the ones that the previous owner painted over.

It has a new rear fender and now I'll have this headlight cover. I still need the radiator shrouds and the side panels in red.

Ken, weren't you the one I was communicating in e-mail about red plastics? I thought you had some extras?
