Washington state owners

I rarely see them, but "rumor control" has it, there are GasGas owners in Washington. I just became one. I've been riding my son-in-law's EC250, while he's overseas. I just purchased a very nice '01 SE300. I should have some video & photos, but gainful employment dominated my week. Anyone in the Tacoma, Wa. area, or on the I-5 corridor, own a GasGas? If the weather holds, I'll have some trail video after this weekend. If it's raining, I won't bother...blurry vids suck. The riding will still get done, just without the camera. If you are out there...Speak up, I get out to ride more often than most.

[Raises hand] Right here!

I had ridden my 2002 XC300 exactly twice before I performed a complete overhaul of the bike. The forks are at LTR getting the spa treatment they deserve, then it's a quick fit and off to Straddleline on Saturday the 14th for the Gallardo Gran Prix. I am going to guess on the jetting and hope for the best. New bike, new gear, new year. I am not ready but I am so ready to ride.

Did you pick up that handsome blue model that was on CL for a while? Very nice rig, I figure I am into my bike about what you (probably) paid, but mine is not half as pretty. Good luck and have fun, these seem to be great bikes for the PNW.

I did get the one you saw on CL. I happen to know the gentleman who owned it. I prayed it wouldn't sell, while I ratholed cash. I don't know that he really tried to hard to sell it, anyway. Trail rode it, first time today. What a beast! I had no idea a 300, has that much more torque, versus a 250. I did not ride with nearly enough humility, and paid dearly. Not a scratch on the bike, but I was obligated to strip search myself, for unknown injures, especially below the waist(OWwww). Deep tissue bruising...the price for being stupid. If I can still move about, I'll be back on Sunday, with the GoPro.

Yes they do exist. There are many more than you think up hear in the PNW.

I personally have bruised Gas Gas blue and bled Gas Gas red for many years here in Washington.;)

Didn't get out over Easter weekend. Letting my aging body heal some more, so I can ride pain free. Looked it over, again, in the shop. After the beating I took, the bike didn't get a scratch. I, on the other hand, have bruising in place that are just wrong. Being physically active, personally & professionally has me really sore. Good luck & ride safe, everyone.

Another western WA owner in Auburn. Haven't gotten out much lately with work and the kids school sports schedules.

I will be out at Tahuya for sure the May 5th and 6th. THe Tacoma MC Club is putting on the Wet Duck poker run. I am a TMC member and will be helping with the event.

Might make the annual gather of the gassers depending on when it is.

Tahuya is a fun place to to ride, and close to my home. My son-in-laws's EC250, with me riding it.

The pink Gasser looks pretty red in the vid. I'm pretty sure it was you I talked with you out there around a month ago. You were riding alone a practice that makes me cringe.

The clearcut section at the end of your video our club put back after the logging destroyed it last year, it's fast, tight, and fun.

Just picked up my new 2011 estart 250 today from GP in Albany. Excellent transaction , thanks Gary.

As a rule, I don't encourage such doings. However, I accept the risks...I am probably more prepared than most. Years of solo climbing, deep into wilderness areas, has me pretty independant. I certainly enjoy riding with others, but work schedules, and odd days off, sorta screw me out of prime time group rides. I got out again, today. The late afternoon weather was fantastic!
