With the signing of Ivan Cervantes (E2) GasGas's commitment to the EWC is now very obvious where he and Nambotin (E3) should be able to make a legitimate run at both titles which should make for a great year of racing and hopefully a couple of EWC titles.

It is indeed a good year for GasGas. Hopefully they can ride this wave of increased 2T popularity with increased sales and increased race support.

The WEC will not come back to the USA unless the world economy improves drastically. It is VERY expensive to ship everything over hear.

Plus, the U.S. riders showed very little intrest in racing.

More like the supporters of US riders saw little reason to support their riders in a WEC effort, knowing that the effort would be in vain. The guys capable of making a mark at a WEC round make their living racing bikes, and this is too big of a risk.

That "risk" word is why they (factory teams) won't send riders to the ISDE.
The EU riders don't seem to have that problem.

They made it a "world enduro championship" then have all the races all over the world except for NA(like having a world series just for the US).. traveling all over the world would be very high for any US based rider. I have friends who rode the WEC in hancock and did well.. But the issues they had was more with the style of the race.. a bit confusing. Was very different from anything we ever really see here. It be nice to see the WEC do some races here in NA and SA,, the euro riders I met seamed to like coming here.

When a race comes to NA once in forever,, why would a promoter want his top guy running it?? Gets no real benefit from it except for experience. Just high dollar to enter.
