Were there significant changes to the case halves between 1998 and 2006?

I have an '01 EC 300 and I'm going to start collecting parts for my bottom end rebuild when summer is over. I'm just curious if anything significant changed that this kit wouldn't work: http://www.powersportsplace.com/parts/cpg-c3310/overview/make/gas-gas/model/enducross-ec-300

You can get the kit directly from Cometic for your bike. Also check out motocrosscenter.Com while they are in Spain the prices are great especially since the US is close to the Euro.
