Western PA AWRCS Rd.1 video

Congrats on your 1st race and finish. You did good for your 1st race so keep on competing. A couple of pointers, keep on rolling don't stop and always remember momentum is your best friend, on the easy stuff upshift and gas it hard that's when you make up your time you lose in the crap sections and don't be afraid to stay off the brakes on the down hills gas it instead and last but not least you've probably realized its time to start an exercise program and remember riding is FUN! :):):)

Congrats man!

A couple guys in my local dual sport club raced. I couldn't make it. One got first in Senior C on a KTM Six Days.

after watching the video and towards the end of the race I realized that I shouldn't have stopped so many times, I was exercising some what for months before the race, but I need to step it up big time and eat right to go with it

that hill had a lot of guys struggling, including me. by the third lap not shown in the video the ruts going up it were to the footpegs and even higher

That looked like fun...and nice and sloppy...lol.

Good looking course too; how many miles did you cover?

Congrats on your first race

I did three laps, each lap was 14.2 miles or something close to that
42.6 miles
I burned about 3.4 gallons of gas so 12.5 mpg how does that sound?

You know, I've never calculated the fuel efficiency on my bike. I had to hit reserve at 38 miles on a trail ride a while back, but not a good comparison to race pace.

I actually don't know what the capacity is before it goes to reserve - anyone know?

Anyway, I'd be completely whipped if I did that many miles while trying to keep a race pace. It's bad enough trying to keep a trail pace for 45 miles...lol.

sorry for it being sideways

I have a mark on my tank where the reserve starts, not much gas left in there when you hit it, id say you'd get 5 miles out of reserve if you were lucky
