I have a 2005 200 dx all set up WER dampner , Drew Smith suspension set up , Tubeless in the tires , Recluse Auto clutch . So now I have been riding trials GasGas of coarse most of the time . then I see a 2011 200 xc 6 days for sale can I switch over the recluse and is it a bigger bike ? Are they better engineered , and the frame looks weaker than mine ? So how about some feedback from the pros I need to move on it or it could be gone ? Thanks

OK after looking in the archives The 2011 has better brakes is a little bigger do to the handle bar adjustments , will take my recluse no problem maybe I need to go look at this bike ? What do you think ?

I have a 2005 300De and a 2011 300 EC Race. I will say the 2011 is just nicer overall. Just a lot of little things. In my case the 2005 is plated so I kept it but I always ride the 2011. Keep in mind that my Race has the good 48mm forks. I would go look at it. May be like the 11 I bout. It was like brand new.

I am not sure but maybe the shock / forks are interchangeable WER set up front and rear it works real good , so maybe I would try them on the 11 ?

I would think the forks are interchangeable, at least if you change the triple clamps as well.

As for the shock, I believe there is a small difference in length, but I have used newer shocks on my 06 with no ill effects.

I don't have any comparison background, but I can tell you the 2 '11 Six Days 200s we have in our garage are fantastic bikes.

I picked mine up less than a year ago and have 70 hours on it thus far - been absolutely perfect. It's such a great bike that I was able to convince my wife to let me sell her KTM 250 4T and buy another GG 200 2T and it just so happened that we found another '11 Six Days (with the help of this board).

Don't think you'd be disappointed making the jump, especially if you can move some of the good bits from your '05.

Here's a shot of her from last weekend :D

I had an 05 for two years than I picked one 2011. (250cc)
I feel that the 2011 is bigger and more planted (heavy?).

The shiver 48 is better than previos 45 I had.

And the 2011 engine is much more stronger!

My lovely wife did not say yes yet but I am sure to have it in the garage Thursday ! Anybody want a clean 05 200 I am in Pa ?

I have a 2011 EC 300. I have had a lot of bikes, this 2011 is by far the best. Drew Smith at WER did the suspension revalve including SKF seals in the 45mm shivers. The revalve made a HUGE difference and I just love the bike. You should jump on it, you won't be disappointed.

I am planning on picking it up tomarrow It comes with an extra tank piston and rings ,pipe guard n some other stuff to looks unblemished ! I love buying new GasGas bikes this is the 7th GasGas in 5 years , My buddy does this with TM s it sure is fun getting something to ride that is new to me !

I need to get some pictures of my newest member of my family of GasGas bikes . But it already is in a state of diassebly going through a check of bearings ,grease , n new parts . I rode it sunday and it needs some stuff to make it smooth . I am taking the recluse off the 05 and trying a Scotts dapener ,WER suspension work , Tubeless tires , a dunlap trials tireon the rear , and a vector odometer . Maybe some other stuff but then it will be ridable . So now I have 2 200 Gassers ! Life is good Indeed .
