I've run 7/8" with a crossbar, 1-1/8" with a crossbar like the TwinWalls, and the "regular" 1-1/8" Pro-Taper-esque bars. As of yet I haven't tried FlexxBars.

What's your preference? Is there a particular reason (additional equipment on bars, bend availability, flex characteristics, durability, etc)

I changed the renthal twinwalls from my 2011 300 race to normal 1-1/8" bars because I could not push clutch and brake perches inboard enough.

Twinwall may be good for motocross but for enduro with hand guards it doesn't leave enough space for all switches etc...

I'm also using a very low bend in the farthest back position. I'm 185cm (whatever in imperial system :))

I had some oversized, no crossbar handlebars on my 2001 xc300 for a couple seasons (test units for a company that didn't make it). They were OK, just fine. But I hated the BRP clamps and the clunky mounting hardware, especially when compared to the lovely OEM GG bar mounts. So, I went back to some nice ProTaper 7/8 bars, Reed/Henry bend. Vanity.:p

Funny thing I remember seeing posted somewhere...
"If you bent your fat bars, that's probably the least of your problems".

I like the idea of the Flexx bars, but... weight, cost, complexity, jagged pointy shape... all keep me away. But I know I should at least try them.

Twinwalls seem to be the hardest to bend of all the bars we've used up to this point. Have bent two TW so far, but it took a year.;)

I have two buddies that swear by the Flex bars.

I like the tapered HEBO bars that came stock on my 07. They are low, flat and have little sweep back. They feel great when standing, not quite so good when sitting. They haven't bent yet, which is unbelievable!:D

I second the Hebo "Fat Bar"! I picked them up as a take off from Go.Fasters 3 years ago! Tough as nails!

The Hebo bars are tough as nails. I just switched to Trail Tech X bars this year ands really like them. They have low sweep too.
