Some pics -4F

Seasons first competition in Finland. I'm V40 GNCC kind of rider, but I enjoyed a lot because there was half of mx trac included in last section

Very cool pics gastimppa! We do not have winter enduro events here, just ice racing! So we ride.

Hey tell us more! Kind of tires, jetting ect... And more pics please:D

Edit: just went the website in your signature for more pics thanks!

Cheers

"There is no such thing as bad weather! Only riding gear is improper or insufficient" :D:D:D:D

Fantastic! I'll quit bragging about riding at 30F and buy some better gear!

Please do tell us!!!
i.e. What type of boots you wear? I cannot tell from the pics.
We need all the little winter secrets. I live in Greece the country of (beside the great dept) shunshine and sea , but today is about to snow in Athens.

Jetting: 180/40

Tires: Mitas C-17 front 300 studs, Michelin 110/100 AC 10 with 278 studds rear. I prefer Mitas/Trelleborg tyres bacause they last longer.

I use Acerbis X-tight boots. Sole is leveled, shaped and covered with slippery and lasting plastic/rubber material.

Heated grips are useful when temperature is below 23 F :D

I also use kind of sacs in handlebars as you may see in some photo. They are better than big handguards. Real fast riders don't use them, but my fingers are so sensitive that I use them allways under 23 F temperatures.

Sport longjohns and long-sleeved shirt under enduro gear is nice too when weather is kind of chilly...

There is helmetcam from stage 1 that event. It's not me or not Gasser, but to get the idea of winter enduro in Finland....

Very cool! I'd like to do that but it would have to snow an abnormal amount to cover the rocks here, otherwise your expensive tires would get trashed.

nice vid .. too bad the rider did not have a nice 720 or 1080p camera .. he was on the gas .....

husky getting it done close to home!!! sort of ....

Ya !!! Great Vid.
I'd like to see some of the aftermath tires once the race is over. Must be pretty hard on the back ones.
Thx for sharing.

never mind the tires ... what about their backs ...
I did not see anyone standing!!
ass in seat and outriggers out seems to be the technique ...
my lower back would not be happy about that!!

again nice vids!!

As ass thing  You don't want to know what my ass feeled (skinned) and looked( baboon) like last winter after 1000km 3 day race .+20 stages. It was nice to stand in road sections...

To get a shower after race... AAAAARRRRGGGGHHH!!!

Still doing that race again this winter

I'll try to remember to take tyre pictures today. Front is still perfect after 4 race days. Rear has minor wear in studds and rubber material after one race, but it's Michelin AC-10 not Trelle/Mitas. Tyres are the expenciest part of winter racing. Good rear tyre costs about 250-300 euros (330-400 dollar)...
