WP fork transplant

Do to unforseen reasons I no longer have GG300. I the parting out I saved the forks. The new bike is a 200KTM 200 I know nothing about. The axle area looks different but could one of the axles fit.
The forks I want to save have been revalved and resprung by the master and I would like to use them?
Any informamation would save me a lot of time.
Thanks
Jim

I believe that the early 2000's KTMs used the same WP fork. My kids have the 2004 KTM 200, and they use the 48 mm fork. I am pretty sure that the 43mm forks on both bikes are the same.

One way to verify is to check Racetech.com. Look at the parts list for the 2000 ktm 200 and the 2002 gasgas bikes. You'll probably see that they use the same parts.

good luck.

The "feet" and all associated hardware are different. Why not try and just try and swap the cartridges and base valves into the KTM sliders/tubes?

That said, the KTM200 is a lot lighter with different geometry so I would not expect the existing setup to work as well as on the GG.

what if you use the gasser front wheel, axle, and brakes? just take the parts off the old bike and put the new ones on. i would think that would be alot easier than putting just the forks on, and besides, i dont think the lower fork has mounts for a brembo brake, or did the 300 have brembos? i know the newer bikes have nissin brakes. but if you used the whole front end of the gasser, and the forks will fit in the triple clamp then i dont see why it wouldnt work.

WP forkfs

I must have posted in the wrong section. I called Les at LTR and
he said no way. I'll send this set if I have too. I'm going to get in
as much riding as I can before the stroke really kicks in.
Regards,

Jim
