The 07 motor should fit in the 2003 frame just fine.

My understanding is the 2005 and newer motors will NOT fit the older frames without some modifications.

2005 was the year the engine cases and frames changed and so did the mounting points of the motor.

In one case (not sure if its the older motor with a newer frame or newer motor with old frame) you most add a shim between the motor and the frame for the "bolt up" to work properly.

In the other case you need to modify the frame via cutting and welding for the "bolt up" to work properly.

Sorry I'm not sure which way is the easiest.

The only other person that said it would fit was Mark from Go-Fasters. He didn't exactly sound 100%, so I am sticking with no for now.
