New GG owner, just picked up an 07 EC 300. Found a broken friction disc in the Rekluse Z start pro that came installed on the bike.
I've been reading about LOTS of broken discs in GG bikes, have not heard of one in KTMs, of which I own 2 3OOs, so sounds like this is a quasi common problem.
A call to Rekluse today told me that they don't have any more of the steel plates that go with the CR 250 frictions, and my steels are in good shape, which has me leaning towards the GG frictions - But they appear to be inferior; will the same thing happen, that is, breakage...?
I saw that Moose has GG frictions, and am curious as to if anyone has had experience with their frictions.
OR - has GG started to make a higher quality friction?
