You could drill the swingarm axle holes on the case to 17mm. I’ve did that on a 98 ec250 engine that I put into a 2006 frame. Also the lower engine mount is 10mm wider on the 96-04 engines than 05+
I did install the balance shaft seal…that first photo I posted of it was just a mock up when I got the bearings in. I think I remember seeing a 98 ec250 in engine on eBay for like 600 bucks which isn’t that bad of deal knowing how good these old counterbalanced engines are. What ignition is on...
Thank you
It did not have the counter balancer from factory…only had the balance weight under the crankshaft pinion gear. It had the two seats for the CB bearings but they weren’t bored to the correct size for the 6203 bearings. I did the “machine” work myself with sandpaper and a drill press...
Finally got the old gasgas going…Counterbalancer is a game changer, so far after a few laps getting the carb dialed in it’s much better than my 06 ec300. I got some kybs from a yz450 that are gonna be replacing the old marzocchi’s
MFS400126020 is a 25x31x19mm needle bearing https://www.sp-spareparts.com/en/p/25btm3119a-koyo?srsltid=AfmBOorkC5_Gg7I54yF5SOsyX0ZNlhORN0U8JMNec0BmBn2WZM9B2qMW
Can’t help much for the MFS450626550 but this may be useful https://www.facebook.com/share/p/17sgBTBxnb/?mibextid=K35XfP
I actually like the 45 shivers a lot but it’s not easy to find spare parts for em, I need new upper tubes and GG/Rieju prices are crazy high. Few years ago I bought cannondale zokes for spares but ended up putting them on my 98 ec250 to replace the 45 magnums. So far my two sets of...
Ended up just getting the T clamps milled to fit the kybs, welded and re drilled/tapped front caliper bracket, made custom wheel spacers to fit the gg wheel and she’s good to go. Not missing the old zokes one bit
If you end up with a Clarke tank buy an oem Honda trx400 gas cap as the Clarke caps are made of cheese, I’ve broken 3 before I fitted the Honda cap and haven’t any issues since. There is also no way to bolt the tank down to the frame(by the steering neck) so the rubber strap and rad shrouds and...
The bike is an 06 with thousands of miles at race pace, the zokes are roached beyond belief. It's just not practical to put any more money in em(needs bushings and seals). They’ve worked great for nearly 2 decades but it’s time for an upgrade. Also for some reason maybe it’s just me but I can’t...
Yeah im replacing the 45mm zokes with the 08 kybs but would rather to use the 18+ gg/reiju t clamp over the yz clamps if possible. If the 18+ t clamps are 56mm top and 59mm bottom the 08 kybs will bolt right on. I’m just finding conflicting info on the id of the top clamp whether...
