Hi Bruce. Thks. Am getting around now and will let you know soon. Ass hurt on a trials bike? lol My neck got sore when I first started from the head up riding position and heavier mx style helmet. Yes, I've been there with a chest protector too. Fell on my side with one on and broke a...

    Piston details

Which domed piston, and which flat one ? I just went thru a bunch of experimenting this yr to finally get my 300 finally working right with a Knarly pipe. What problems are you trying to sort out?

    Piston details

Ok, I've searched, but more info is just leading to more questions. My stock 300cc domed piston is marked W. A couple previously have said that this means Wiseco. Well Wiseco rings were too thick. (GG distributor part # marked Wiseco on the package) So maybe W means Wossner ??? I got...

    Messico v's standard gg pipe.

This was done previously here too: http://www.gasgasrider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=9127 I've got a brand new, never used cat pipe waiting to find a good welder who could do this for me, but until then I'm willing to sell it if anyone is interested. I've already replaced my tweaked, nickle...

    Back into trials

Been loving trials for 6yrs now. Just wish I would have started ages before that. Now, if I was ever limited to keeping just one bike it would be it.

2011 ASII 36 Jetting - what were they thinking?

Did you try Winners Circle in Markham ? Just take the slide/needle and any other parts you want to match up with you. They have always had what I need in stock, but theres lots of variations of the same carb so its important to take them with you and match them up.

2011 ASII 36 Jetting - what were they thinking?

Neil, I run a #7 slide in mine if you want the dimensions. I also use a LTR needle which transformed the engine. Its a very shallow taper compared to the stock N1 needles so if the KTM N3 is like that try one. Don't know if LTR still has them, and don't think I had it in when you rode it...

    Powervalve issue?

Yep. Picked up some 6000Z and 608Z bearings from the local bearing shop and he asked if they were for a skateboard. lol

Question for the expert transmission rebuilders

Thanks guys. I thought the same thing about the clutch spacer slowing any direct flow through the bearing, especially since its just getting splashed and dragged around in there as you said. I can't recall seeing a seal on that bearing in any other motors I've had apart so hopefully its a...

Here is a pic of the over heated, or rust bubbled looking shield.

Question for the expert transmission rebuilders

I've got the cases split on my 2006 300EC and will be replacing the 2 bearings on the transmission shaft that holds the clutch. Both bearings, an open 6203 and a sealed 1 side 6205 are both a bit gritty feeling, so I have 2 new very smooth running SKF bearings to pop it. The 6205 I took out had...

    spare expansion chamber modding!

Looking forward to hearing about it after its back together. Thanks for posting the pic marking the spot you cut it. I need a pipe right now and could use this, or just keep it as a spare.

    Sealed main bearings?

After some horrible looking 'sealed' bearings I've seen in my wheel bearings I think they not be too sealed. I changed the rears twice last yr and were rusty as hell even though I checked and/or added waterproof grease. They may keep out chunks but I think fluids will eventually creep in, or...

    Sealed main bearings?

I'm wondering if the roller bearing is a better idea on the heavier flywheeled bikes?? Does the ignition side use a 6306 too ? Theres an oil passage on each cheek of the cases for oiling the bearings so don't like the idea of a sealed bearing spinning at crank speeds without a good source...

My response time and my future...

Big thanks to Jeff for keeping the best GG resourse on the internet going. I think this is one of the only forums I know of that isn't full of twits using it as their own chat room. Its kept me informed since 2006. All the best Jeff, and I think GG owes you a bike at least !
