Thanks, I had the same shop cut the squish band down to 10.5 mm from the original 12 and scoop out the head. I now have 28cc in the head, time to put the head on the bike and measure again.

Hi F5, I have read your 300 head squish thread with great interest. I have had a machine shop re cut the squish band and cut the head so that I now have 1.25mm at the outer edges and 1.5 mm on the inner edge. My question is how wide is your squish band once you made the cuts on your lathe to reduce your compression? It seems to me that at the stock 12mm it will be almost impossible to cut the 7 ish cc out of the head with out hitting the water jacket.
