Older gasgas trials parts
For those that don't know many parts for older Gasgas trials bikes are available from Jim Snell (trialspartsusa). He ships fast and knows everything about them. My 97 is a solid runner and he still has a lot of service parts for it. You need to call him since he...
Thanks for suggestions. I've cleaned and rebuilt the carb completely but did not look at the carb boot closely - I'll check that tomorrow. If that doesn't locate an issue I'll try to pressure and vacuum test the motor.
I've been trying to solve an issue with my 97 JTX 270 and can't seem to pinpoint it. It runs borderline OK when I just start it and then gets very lean and it's not the carb - I've rebuilt it and it is clean, new float valve, etc. I also replaced the crank seal behind the stator and put in...

I do my own work and enjoy it so I just need to be able to get parts. I used to buy all my parts from GoFasters until that option was cancelled. I?ve been to my local dealer and while they are nice people they have no parts in stock for my older GasGas bikes (large KTM inventory though)...
I ordered plastics and a few odds and ends for my 2006 and they took less than 1 wk to get to Ca. They were easier to shop with on line than any US source, had more variety of options available and were cheaper.
If the overall offset of the wheel changes by a lot you may change the handling/steering behavior. Might be worth a quick measurement of the fork offset.
