  • Hi There,
I need some help please I got no spark on my 2000 gas gas ec300 and think its the cdi I have power from the stator and trigger to the cdi but nothing coming out of the white and blue wire going to the ignition coil, I have heard that I can use a rm125 cdi can someone please tell me what year rm 125 cdi will work and the whole process on what I need to do, thank you in advance.
That's quite interesting! I'm running 100mm race sag atm and have the forks flush, definitely struggled a bit at chippenham last week with the front digging on the mud!

The 36mm carb will add a little more grunt low down but sacrifice some top (as you probably know), but that being said, the KTM 300's use a 36mm carb and still go like hell!

How much did the DEP end up costing in the end? I still want to get around to getting once, but Xmas is the great consumer of funds haha!

Glad you are getting on well with it now! And I'll try increasing my rear race sag a bit more, what's your static sag?

    Happy Xmas mate!!
Hi mate, just thought Id let you know I went to DEP and had pipe fitted with a few dyno runs, one word........ Awesome

The new DEP has transformed the old girl, it has made the bottom end better with a better feel between throttle and tyre, then the midrange comes in nice n smooth and carries on with far better overev, Id say the midrange pull now will allow me to take a couple of teeth off the rear, I will experiment over the winter.
Got the headshake sorted by going 120mm rear sag and having forkcaps flush with clamps, and it still turns on the spot.

Also playing with a new carb, off a sx250 36mm as mine has a 38mm

    Keep ya posted

    Have a good Christmas.....

    Chris
