Thanks Glenn. Btw...I replaced the rings in my 300....they looked to be fine as did the cylinder amd pkston. She is now putting out 160 psi on the the same compression tester
I also replaced the reed boot from the carb to reed cage. Original may have been letting aor thru as it had lost most of its inner ridges that slide into the carb and reed cage alum. castings. I am hoping yhis will solve my erratic idle issues. Do u run the jd kit? I am presently using the cck needle on 2nd clip w a 40 pilot and 1.5 turns out on af screw. 175 main. Im about 15 hrs north of you right on the ocean.
