    Back on GG

Past forum member back on. I haven't been on this forum for several years. I had sold my 2001 EC250 about 5 or 6 years ago. Recently picked up a very little used 2015 EC300. Looking forward to riding a GasGas again and learning from the fine folks on this forum.

    New Dealer in Missouri!!

Glad to have a GG dealer so close, too bad I can't afford a new bike right now. Are you stocking any parts yet? I have been getting most of mine from Hall's in IL and have been pleased with their service but, would also be glad to support a home state dealer. Currently own a well used (abused)...

    Crankshaft journal repair.

Thanks for the fast replies. Motowest is the one I was looking for. I had planned to just use the EC250 as a old beat around bike but a new bike is unfortunately not going to happen any time soon so, I may end up doing a full quality rebuild of the GG.

    Crankshaft journal repair.

I have searched several threads but can't find the one I'm looking for. Someone had wrote before about a shop in California that can hard chrome then machine the crank main bearing journals back to spec. Anyone know which shop that was?

    WTT 2002 CRF450R for EC200 or 125.

Hillbilly GP in the for sale section of the forums. It had been posted on CL as a 200 as well. I had not heard of a WR200 either but, had not been keeping up with the Husky's for awhile and thought maybe it was only made for a few years. I have not contacted this person since he did not mention...

    WTT 2002 CRF450R for EC200 or 125.

I had not done research on a Husky WR200 until know. There is an 02 WR200 listed on a local site by a rider who appears to be fairly well known to other members of that site so assumed he had the listing correct but, I cannot find any info elsewhere about a WR200 so maybe they don't exist.

where are my yamaha fans? 07 WR450

Very sharp looking bikes. Gotta love e-start. I don't have any pics to add but my first (and unfortunately only) brand new dirt bike was a 2003 WR450 as my handle would imply. I really liked that bike but sold it when I was called overseas.

Nice little Clip to get your Blood Flowing

Gotta love 125's. I appreciate my YZ125 more everytime I ride it and I'm just an old, slow woods rider.

    WTT 2002 CRF450R for EC200 or 125.

Would like to trade for a EC200 or maybe a 125 or a Husqvarna WR200. Would also consider other bikes as stated in CL add. I have since replaced the fork seals and wipers. The bike is located in central Missouri. Can possibly deliver for the right deal. If anyone wants more pics let me know...

    Lets clear up clutch crossover

I have a basket from my 02 CRF450 that I tried to fit when I had my EC250 clutch apart to replace the backplate rivets with screws. It would not work (CRF basket) and if I recall right it was due to size difference of the small inner gear that meshes with the kick start idler. I seem to recall...

    Unidentified engine/gearbox noise

Thanks for the quick reply jostby. My initial thought was the clutch slipping but frankly, I never had a dirt bike long enough to wear out a clutch so have never heard one slip :) . Growling is a good description of the sound it made. Thanks again.

    Unidentified engine/gearbox noise

I finally had a chance this weekend to air out the 01 EC250 I bought last fall. Recent maintenance includes a cylinder replate to A specs with a Vertex piston, bottom con rod side to side clearance was within spec and there appeared to be no up/down play. Clutch has recently started to rattle...

    Base Gaskets

Here are the results from my recent top end overhaul. I had the cylinder replated to A specs. and a Vertex piston. I used one green base gasket that measured at 0.5MM. I did not take any precise measurements after assembly but, at TDC the top of the piston was approx. 1.5-2MM below the top of...

    Cyl/Head o-rings why so small

I had the same problem the first time I got an outer o-ring in the mail, it was way too small. The next o-rings I got in another order were just a little small but fit with minor stretching and stayed in place. I believe the first one sent to me was for a 200 and not a 250.

    Base Gaskets

I just got some base gaskets this week. According to my calipers the green one is .5MM, the brown paper one is .15MM. The old one I took off was green, I did not pay attention however to the relation of the piston dome and the port openings with the piston at BDC before taking it apart. When I...
