2018 XC - diagnosing electrical issue

I usually get flamed pretty hard for this, but damn if it doesn’t cure every single electric start issue. I’ll Pre flame answer so if you feel the need to interject your massive electrical knowledge please keep it to yourself. P=IE yup. Got it. Inductive reactance, got it. All That matters for...

    Center case seal

I like to use a gasket, but using some 3Bond on the gasket itself, just a micro thin layer seems to help an imperfect surface. If at all possible, I do prefer to use a dry gasket though for much easier disassembly. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Hunting Season and Riding

I live in Oregon, and for the most part it is true dirt bike heaven 365 days a year because of our mild climate. However I have had a run in with hunters. Even with clear rules of where and when to hunt, sometimes they venture in to riding areas. One time we had a man, an older man who surely...

    National Enduros

Is anyone on here who is paying attention doing any National enduros? I'd love to ride with someone.

    I love my 2 stroke but. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you want to keep the bike you have, there are ways to help it feel more planted. First make sure your suspension is set up correctly, and second, get a set of Bib Mousse inserts. Or if you don't want to drop that much cash, get only the front mousse. It will help a lot. It won't become a four...

    New GAS GAS color

I have owned every color of Gas Gas ever produced. They all drew attention. I liked every version. Have often thought of doing a white/ dark green combo as mentioned earlier. Sort of a Penton Six Days look. Would be fun. You could make your own graphics and the bike will still be clearly a Gas...

    Boots

I have had many boots. The Gearne is a great boot. What I'm wearing now is the Fox Instinct. It's the best boot I've ever owned. It has a lifetime warranty sole, which is great if you go through soles as fast as I do. I also have some fox comp 5's as you mentioned. For an inexpensive...

    Kids

I pushed my kids to ride early, expecting they would love it like I did. They had a casual interest that ebbed and flowed. This year it clicked though and they want to ride, more often than I can get them out. My younger son raced a vintage MX series with me this year and loved it. He...

Hi, newbie with EC125 tm racing 98' (I think?)

Looks like a '96. Great bike in its day. The TM engine was head and shoulders above the Gas Gas 125 engine, in a better chassis than the TM. I remember those days. I was riding a KTM 125. E-1 class rocks! Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

    Painting Shock Springs?

I paint springs on vintage binges with great success. The flex agent hasn't been necessary if using a real automotive paint. Rattle can won't do it. It does wear faster than powder coat though. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

    Just Like Old Times

A flywheel weight on that bike in particular is a nice mod. I had a '99, Rick's '99 to be exact, then following, a 2000. The 2000 wasn't around long, as I had a falling out with the dealer, but while I had it (a month or two) we put a gww on it. It made the bike easier to ride. I rarely...

What did you do to your Gas Gas today?

Removed, cleaned, relubed and reinstalled Bob Mousse front and rear in the same tyres. Sounds insane, but it's good isde practice, and keeps the Bibs safe.

Newer Plastic on Older GasGas show your bike

Kx plastics from the late 90's bolt rift up to the early Gas Gas. If you look closely, the stock airborne mud flap says Kx right on it.

    Other wheels for 2010 ec300r.

Any Gas Gas wheels will work, but the wheel bearings changed arty some point. It's alright though, because the outside diameter remains the same, and you can just put the 2010 bearings in the old wheels. I had a set of 2001 wheels on my 2008. Had to swap the bearings. I liked the...
