Hey guys I need a little help identifying what chain guide I have. I destroyed and lost the old guide and the pictures I have found in the parts diagrams are not a good representation. I would just replace it with a TM or BRP set up but the screws that attach the bracket to the swing arm are stripped . However I could probably get them out ,what a bear that would be. So if one of you smart guys could tell me what guide it is so I can get a new one I would be extremely happy.

Only Markings on mount

What it looks like pre destruction.

Based upon the name... I think the old....old...old...importor of GasGas had some after market stuff, their last name was Knight.....were talking the early days, 1997-??? Being your bike is an 03, that looks like it could be one of their items. I don't reacall ever seeing one first hand myself...as I still use the very simple and not so pretty OLD OEM chain guide.

As for replacement parts.....better off scrapping and going with something newer.

Hope that helps!

Appears to be a "standard" aftermarket chain block. Looks like it would bolt right to a BRP or a TM chain block.

No need to buy or remove the bolts, just bolt right to a new block.

the GG chain guide mount and the guide itself was a common upgrade(?) back then. A new billet mount would allow a Honda XR guide to be installed. I can't tell exactly what's broken in your first photo, is it the mount on the swingarm or the guide itself? If just the guide just find another XR guide. If it's the mount itself I might have a complete GG oem mount and guide assy I might part with (not sure if I have all). Send me a PM if so.

Jostby the mount is fine its just the chain guide its self. I have a xr650l and have compared they are a different animal same with my CRF . Not sure what the xr400 chain guide or the CR250 guides look like.

I have looked at the BRP and TM mounts in pictures . They are open all the way across on the bottom of the mount. The one fixed to my swing arm is only open 3/4 across the bottom as seen in the picture. I was curious if anyone has a brp mount and could measure the distance between the center of the bolt hole to center of bolt hole and the spread of the center section. This would tell me if I could use a brp chain guide. I am pretty sure there isnt a brp mount for me to measure with in 150mi.
