The bottom bolt/washer has come away from the lower exhaust mount. Would drilling a hole through the rubber and putting a long bolt straight throught be fine or should I replace the mount.

Putting a bolt completely through a piece of rubber doesn't actually isolate anything. Its no different than just shimming and bolting. The net result is usually the pipe cracking/tab breaking away from the frame.

You can buy a variety of after market isolators/mounts which may take a bit of tinkering to fab up a mount that will sit right, or you could try a lower mount from another brand.

No such place close to me. I am in South Africa.

Not sure what they cost in the US. Price here is equivalent to $6.77 from the Gas Gas agents.

LOL Sorry I suppose I should have looked at your location before I responded.

Hey Wait- may that can provide you with a good business opportunity?

For $7 I wouldn't even bother messing around and trying to make something work. For the 2 or 3 dollars you save, you waste 10 times as much in your time trying to make something which is nearly correct fit.
But thats just me. If it was difficult to find the genuine one, or you had to wait while it was shipped, thats a bit different.

FYI, the KTM one will work too. Part number here http://www.gasgasrider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=17292&highlight=mount

Looks like i will have to buy the original parts from the agents as where i stay no one has similar items. Same with the rest of the stuff i need like the linkage and lower shock washers as previous owner's never put them back.

This is probably why everyone here buys KTM. But I don't like to follow the sheep.:D
