Hi all,

I feel the high speed valving could do with a bit of a tweak. I am 110kgs (242lbs) and have 0.46kg fork springs in it!

Here is what is in it:

26D x .15 (5)
24 x .2
12 x .15
22 x .2
20 x .2
18 x .15
61 x .15
12 x .15
10 x .3

Firstly where do I get 7mm id shims from? I have been die grinding KTM shims so far.

My new stack is:

26D x .15 (3)
24 x .1 (3)

12 x .15
22 x .2
20 x .1
18 x .15
61 x .15
12 x .15
10 x .3

Any suggestions???

Lose a few kilos, worked for me:o

Suggestions about the shim stack or where to get 7mm shims from? I would have thought Go Fasters would have the shims you need - though didn't look to see if you are in the US.

I did some testing last night and I have actually gone the wrong way I think. I need to increase the compression.

I might chuck out the delta shims, put the 20 x .2 back in and either change the cross over shim to a smaller one or make it a single stage stack instead.

I'm in Melbourne, Australia and have got some shims out of Sydney, but I will get onto go faster about them. Anyone know a contact for paioli on Europe as they are the same shim too.

I have had good luck with correcting the spring rate for the riders weight and then valving the compression stack lighter... and/or lowering the oil level.
But that's with Showa and KYB, I'll dig into the fork and shock when I get the new bike.
The heavier spring gets the bike to ride higher in the stroke and I find it plusher there, then control the action with the valving.
I wonder how adding some float or free bleed would work, I ride tight greasy rooted jungle trails...I added some free bleed to the base valve and I like the results, not sure it would even work on the Marz

Hi Guys,
I Just Bought Myself A New Ec 300 09 And Could Use Some Help With The Rear Suspension. Would It Be Easy To Give Me The Standard Settings For It As The User Manual Is A Little Confusing???
Thanx

I have just done fork seals so now I know the specs for these forks. I may as well post them here so I remember them for next time.

Oil: 5wt
Air Gap: 100mm (I changed it to 110mm and the fork feels plusher)
Fork Seals: 48 x 58 x 9.3/11.0 (I used KTM 48mm seals 48x58x9.5/10.3)
Dust Seals 48 x 58 (Yammie or KTM 48mm)
