'12 brake pads

What rear pads are you guys running with the Galfer wave rotors on the '12s? So far I have the stock metallics, but in the last race I roasted the rotor blue and feel went away, big squeaks arrived. I have no issues with my other wheels running full solid rotors and organic pads. I think the wave rotors may eat up the organics fast but may have to go that way unless a better option.

I've run Sintered pads in my 2010 Race with the galfer wave rotors. Over 5500kms without any overheating issues. I don't drag the rear often though.

I wasn't a brake dragger until I started going fast on my GasGas Now it will give me the occasional reminder to manage my speed with other options ...

I love the stock pads, so the best thing seems to be to get heat away from the caliper. We've got beryllium copper coolers and special banjo bolts as well as bolt on caliper coolers that make the problem (and not your brakes) go away.

i cant believe how long my pads last! i dont drag my rear brake much either and id like to think i go pretty fast ive got the braking rotors though, dont know if that would make a difference but there quite different side by side with a galfer rotor

It depends on the course, but if its short straights with a lot of tight 90 deg turns in bar width pines I'm going to work the brakes. I wouldn't say I drag them but I do steer with the rear when it makes sense. I think I'll just see how long a set of organics last, I use them with solids most of the time anyway.

I made a new brake pedal tip thats lower to avoid dragging even more. If you can't lower the pedal, lower the tip.
