hey u jetting gurus I dropped my pilot from th stock 42 to a 40 to clean up 1/4 burble and blubbering up and considerable spooge.seemed to help but my question is this too lean for 200?am I better to stick with 42 and try a diff needle?plug looks good with both, outer a little sootier on th 42
nz 0-500m 0-20c(winter) 10-35c(summer)
pwks 38 as2 with nozh #3 p40 m175 slide #6
v force3 plug BR8ES
40:1 95 prem unleaded belray h1r
stock pv cover and power valve appears to rest on bolt stop
stock pipe with q stealth
bike only has 30hrs so havnt measured squish-stock head(are th head o-rings reusable?)
only appears to have 1 base gasket 0.15/0.3
from what I can gather th spooge issue could also be related to th stealth can and/or the h1r oil?
any comments much appreciated

Lots of good info in your post.

Jet it to run well. If the smaller pilot helped and the bike isn't showing signs of being lean it sounds like the right move. I wouldn't worry about it being 'too lean'. It'll show signs like not settling back to idle or falling flat and hesitating at small openings. That needle has a very short straight section which transitions onto the taper quite early compared to others too.

PV sounds good.
Head o-rings could be re-used, as can most o-rings. But.. if they leak afterwards you'll end up losing coolant either internally or externally. Cheap insurance? I'd probably aim at 50-60hrs to do top end insp and squish.
Qstealth is a spoogemaster for sure. I have 2 x 250s both set up very similarly. One uses a TCII with no spooge, the other Qstealth and drips. Same fuels and oils in the same area.

thanks jakobi.idles and starts well with both.airscrew was out 2.75 on th 42,1.75 on th 40.was thinking rings at 50hr so will check squish then.was amazed how clean things were when I pulled the pipe to clean.(last 2t was pe175 many yr ago).haha b4 2strokes had actual brakes that really worked!
:D
