The boot on my gas gas intake is hard and needs replacing. I have an airbox with good boot from a 1997 kx125. The only conflict in a boot swap is 1/2" of hole position difference in the hole on the flat.

Should i drill new hole in gg box or mate kx airbox to gg box rear section?

It can certainly be modded to work. If it were a KX250 box & boot...you could just install, and ride. I'd mate the KX airbox to the GG subframe. Save your original GG parts untill you aquire the correct piece that you need.

The kx airbox backhalf does not come up as high as the gg. Not sure if the fender covers it fully. Kx subframe going on as original is trashed. Need to grind away seat weld nuts from kx subframe.

So i went ahead and relocated two holes in gg airbox to allow kx boot and metal ring to work. The studs on the kx ring are longer so may need to be ground to keep from rubbing boot in radius. The foam gasket from kx does not grip like adhesive. I can oull boot out by hand in straight section.

What adhesive do you guys use to seal inner ring to the boot flange?
