After a painful 4 month wait, I finally got a chance to ride my '03 gasgas EC250 yesterday.

I was very impressed! What a fun bike. I have owned several great woods bikes including KTM 200's, KTM 250 and modded KDX220's. This bike has it all!

Great motor. Lug it down to nothing and it wont stall. Ride in the powerband and zip, away you go. This bike is jetted perfectly and I could not find a hesitation or stutter anywhere. It feels like my highly modded KDX220 on steriods.

Loved the ergos and handling. Bike feels small, which and light so you feel like you can throw it around, but it is planted at the same time and tracks very well. The Ohlins forks and shock are very "sweet". I have never ridden with a steering stabilizer, but I love how it helps in the rocks at speed.

We put on 65 miles of fast, twisty desert terrain and I came away with a big smile. Cant wait to get it in the woods now!

I too recently bought a '03 ec250, and have three rides so far. I am very pleased with it too. Man, when U turn the throttle, this thing moves! And now! Yet it handles so well down low too.;) I picked the right bike to learn how to ride two strokes for sure! Have fun with that thing! Bob.

I have ridden a couple of KTM300's and this EC250 reminds me of that motor. Great down low, but it has a lot of get up and go "now" when you need it!

BTW, funny thing happened yesterday. I went with my cousin and he was commenting on how great the bike looked and he had never seen a gasgas before. We get to the staging area, on a weekday, and only 2 other guys there. Guess what, one of the guys was riding an '07 EC300! Older guy who bought the bike from gran prix cycle and we chatted for a long time. He said it was the best bike he had ever owned. Good to know there others out there like us!

glad you liked it... hopefully we get to go ride this saturday... been in snow for over a month now...
(see why i was having trouble stalling the wr450 after riding the gg for so long.... )

Yeah, I put it into some corners very hot (3rd - 4th gear) and slammed on the brakes because of rapidly approaching obstacles and even with my slow response to grab the clutch, I couldnt get it to stall! Very nice!
