My buddy, Bob Diffee, in Little Rock, AR wants to sell his 2001 XC300 for $1500 (firm).
I found this bike for him in 2003, with only 9 hours on it. The first thing he did, other than the guards, was to send the suspension (WP 43mm inverted forks and Ohlins shock) to LTR Racing for modification to tight woods and rough ground enduro use. It works very well.
Bobby rode the bike seriously for three years, but for the last three years has been doing nearly all his actual racing in the AHRMA cross country post vintage class on a 1985 KDX200. Since he started that, the Gasser has mostly been used for working trail and recreational riding, and only been used a few times per year.
The bike is in very good shape, and he priced it so low for a "quick sale", because he wants to get a 4-stroke. (My wife told me, forcefully, that we had other things we needed before I added another bike to my collection, or I would snap it up.)
I can arrange photos and will give contact information through an email or private message through this message board.
Good Riding!
