2005 EC200 Tail Light Issue

The headlight and brake light are working on my EC200; but not the rear tail light (running light). I have three wires running back to the tail light (white,violet, and yellow/green). I believe the white is the running light and the violet is the brake light? I do not have the high/low beam switch on my handlebars. Do I need to connect something together up front to power the white wire to the tail light?

Edit to this…it’s the violet wire that does not seem to have any power.
