Hi guys, hope some of you may be able to help me possibly tune and adjust my suspension on my 06 EC250 to suit motocross tracks as best as possible as my forks are currently bottoming on some larger jumps. The bike has the standard marzocchi forks and ohlins shocks both rebuilt 4 rides ago. Any info on setup for this use would be much appreciated. Thanks a lot guys!

I know nothing about anything but heres my 2c.

Are the spring rates correct for your weight?
Adding more oil/decreasing air gap will add bottoming resistance which may help.
Bump up the compression to slow the action.
But the bike is probably valved for enduro and as such will never be stellar on the track. Revalving will cure it, but then it might not work so well off the track. Its all a compromise.

Raising the oil level is your best cheap attempt to cure or at least limit some of the bottoming issues.
Start by adding 5cc in each leg and take a test lap, continue untill you feel a good mix between bottom resistance and plushness.
But do keep in mind not to exceed recomended max oil volume.
If it's blowing thu the stroke...you need a revalve.

Fantastic thanks a lot for your help guys, I read somewhere that adding a 10mm spacer to preload the spring slightly can make a big difference, I wonder has anyone ever done this and what was there result? Also are there various valves available to adjust the shocks to suit my riding style from gasgas themselves or are they aftermarket?

Correct springrate, and have it valved for MX if thats what your doing with it. The fork will need a midvalve shim stack setup on the back of the rebound piston in place of the checkplate it has now to control mid speed compression.
