2006 EC300 problem

Its broken and you dont wont it back. I'll just keep it for you. If you need a bike to ride you can borrow the 02:)

Easiest way to check these is disconnect CDI and use a couple of paperclips to stick down into the CDI connector on the loom (holes in connector are too small for regular multimeter probes)

Be careful doing the paper clip trick, i destroyd my connector... i thought i was so gentle, but hell no!

Ok ,The connections on the cdi plug are worn ,whats the easiest fix? Change the connections ,and where can I find the right ones or do we just buy the whole ignition for $378.00? or does someone have a used one?

you sure? we can try the CDI thats on the 200 to be sure its the wiring and not the cdi itself, not sure I see how that can wear out?

You can use a small pick to slightly collapse the female connector terminal. Clean them up, do this, and use dielectric grease. Tape over connection. If you really need to replace them, you can get waterproof bullet connectors at most autoparts stores.

Hi, you have probably read some of my threads on hear as i had the same problem and like you I too replaced everything possible including complete rebuild. But nothing worked. Up until approx 3 weeks ago when I lost my temper with the bike and just held the throttle on at its maximum revs and played it there for a couple of minutes, (full revs was just before full throttle, as full throttle seemed to choke out even more) I played the throttle back and fourth a while ensuring it was reving at its max and then suddenly with a little spluttering it cleared and reved the bollocks off its pants. ever since its benn crisp as f@+k.:)

Someone posted the part number and store to get the cdi connections and I cant remember or find it . If someone could let me know AGAIN. Thanks
