The Angry Chook

I've had the bike for about three years and it runs well but uses a lot of fuel. It loads up in the tighter stuff at about idle to 1/3 throttle and takes a bit to clear out when the tracks open up. It also has a bit of a hesitation and doesn't pull cleanly right through onto the pipe.
Im looking to clear it up and make it more snappy as it seems to be running very rich.

Current is 180 main, 40 pilot and N1EF on the second from top clip.
Temp is from 10-25 C at under 1000f

I've got a N3EJ needle after a mate recommended it but he had a 2009 and I don't know which carb he had. I have the AS1 38mm (Screw cap).
I've ordered a 38 pilot and 178 main to play with but from reading I may need a 42 and 175 as well.

Can anyone tell me how much leaner (or richer) the N3EJ is than the N1EF?
Any advice from others with similar specs or problems with fuel?

Your bike will be happy with an N3EG, or N3EH.. The J will likely be too lean for the carb and bog down. The N3EH is probably easier to get your hands on locally. I think the N3EG is on back order 3 weeks or more, and I just sold mine to someone else. I might have a spare N3EH to sell though.. I need to remember where all my needles are.. mmm ahaha!

Thanks,
Have a look and let me know as if you can't find it I'll order one. If you find it quick and chuck it in an express post bag tomorrow it might get to me by friday!

On a side note have you got any links to definitions/explanations of the differences between needle's?
I'm struggling to find anything definitive.
