Racing as in limited edition factory bike?

My 07 'Racing' or 'Six Days' Edition bike had the following:
-magnesium swingarm
-ohlins suspension front and rear (shock has high/low compression, forks are 48mm)
-MC ignition/flywheel (pulls hard, yet is still smooth)
-braided brake and clutch lines (are these standard now? My 01 had a braided rear brake line and clutch line, but not front line)

That picture does look a lot like my ISDE bike.

yeah i noticed the 'racing' models last night. im pretty sure they are only available as a 250 or 300, not the 125 or the 200. They look the goods though

The upgrade for the Ohlins for the regular bike is $900, right? All the rest are nickles and dimes. $1,500 total?

I wouldn't want the MX ignition and flywheel, however.

Have you tried the MX ignition and flywheel? My bike is still very smooth (smoother than my 01 DE200) but it absolutely rips.

The 2K-2 (small ignition) is the way to go on the new bikes. Still smooth, and you can add weights and a G2 throttle for a lot of tuning flexibility.

Possibly. I've ridden mine on rocks, roots, sand, mine rock, loam, pretty much everything. I like the MX ignition, and with the dual ignition curves there's always the right setting for the conditions.

Its easy to add a 10 or 14 oz weight, I have one of each. This, the throttle, and the map switch make this one of the most versitle bikes out there.

I have a heavy ignition as well, but it lives on the shelf not in the bike. Too heavy for a 250 IMO. Beleive me I ride some VERY gnarly rocky terrain, and the bike is perfect with a weight and G2 throttle w/#200 cam. Still can snap the front up over a log at will with no clutch, and it never stalls. Thats what I don't like about big heavy flywheels, you loose that ability to a point.

Set up like this, with fine tuned suspension and a Mitas trials tire, its the most awesome bike I've ever ridden in the rocks.
