2008 TM photos

I saw one at the National in TN. Actually the 450 and a 250 2 stroke. Pretty slick looking bikes. That baby blue is very "bright" in person. Brand new bikes, asking like $6700 for the 2 stroke. Some shop in Collierville, TN near Memphis. Cool guy, he ended riding on my row on a Husaberg. Good rider as well.

Chris, I think you got the name wrong. I ride with (behind) these guys & hang out in their shop, it's about 2 miles from my house. the head guys' names are Dean & Josh. the parts guy is Dean's son, Will. 901-853-5255. they have Husaberg, TM & Gas Gas.

They gave me a card, and on it it has "Josh Scott" with a line drawn through the name w/ "Mike" handwritten above it. I thought he said his name was Josh, but when I looked at the card it had that "mike" name written in above Josh's. So I don't know what that is all about. However the name of the Shop and the number is up, so anyone interested in a TM can give them a shout.

hunh, I'll have to ask them who "Mike" is!

I was in there a couple of days ago, man, those TMs are pretty!

see you at Maplesville?

I emailed you a scanned copy of the card.

Nope, you won't see me at Maplesville. I am hanging up the racing for a few years. New baby, new business, that ordeal with the broken foot is still fresh in my mind, plus that fact that guy died during the race all leads to me taking a break for a while.

I'll be back, just need to go play golf with my dad for a while and take a break.

I'm riding every weekend though, I love the woods and riding buddies too much to stop that.

haven't seen the email, maybe there's something wrong with the address?

jbranson@bakerdonelson.com

I understand about the racing, hope to see you at Brock or the WUDI or something. but...golf? say it ain't so!

I sent it again.

Yeah, I played competitive Amateur golf in the late 90's. I quit cold turkey one day and didn't touch a club except on Father's Day with my dad. That is what we do every year. I can swing the sticks better than I ride. Although I suck these days, it won't take but a few months to tune up the swing. I just want to play with my dad, so I won't be practicing everyday like I was back in the day. Just hanging out with pops.

Damn those are nice looking bikes. I saw a few at the ISDE - those motors RIP. I think the TM motor has a little more jam than the Gasser. Wonder what they handle like?

OK,

I got in a quick buzz on the 300. his has the steel frame, so I guess it is the '07. it is a beautiful bike! but I would worry about scratching those blue rims...

the ergos are very tight, those italians must be compact people. the bike takes a serious boot to start it, & the motor is very barky--big piston + minimal silencer, I guess.

the bike still needs a little fine tuning at the bottom of the range, it was a little rich, but once it cleans out, it goes! it has a lot of mid & top. it has less bottom & WAY more top than a KTM 300; it has more of a hit than the GG 300. it's fun, but I'm not sure I'd want to hang on to it all day in tight conditions.

I'll post back once he gets it fully sorted out.

With KTM forcing electric start on the 2t guys and the slump with GG, I think these thing may take off.

I'd like to see some actual weights.

tm EN 144

Hi Guys, I am just about to order a new 144 EN $11895 NZ$, not the cheapest in the world but has all the good stuff as standard, I will get the importer to set up the mixtures. Im not a racer(not even fast these days) just trail rides & the odd enduro. I did look at a new Gas Gas EC200 but ive lost faith in the importers ability to supply parts for my wifes EC 50, (had piston & rings on order for over 6 months so just fitted a new big bore kit, QUICKER).
I will also look at ways to lower it (shortass) & possibly fit a flywheel weight.

It would be nice if TM built a 200. Wonder what their reason is for not doing it as it would really be a simple thing to do IMO. The 144 is really kind of an odd ball size.

Yea its got something to do with the mx class 250 4 strokes or 2 strokes up to 150 cc i think.
Ive ridden a 2006 en125 & really enjoyed it ,talk about good in the tight stuff & turning ability, my mates got a 06 EC250 which is also good in the bush but as I said before the parts for GAS GAS have been a problem for me so far.
