Planning is underway for a true-to-life demo day of the new 250 and 300 2Ts and 250 and 450 4Ts.

Battle Creek Motorcycle Club will be hosting Saturday May 22 (time TBD). I'll post details to this thread as they firm up.

We should have a course that will allow you to experience the bikes in sand, over roots, on the grass track ... but hopefully no snow!

Stick around for some barbeque and take part in round #2 of the D14 Hare Scrambles series the next day. Who knows, we may be able to congregate enough GasGas' in one place to alarm the Orange Riders.

Full details will also be available at http://www. afterhourscycle.com

Sounds great, Steve.

Hopefully I'll be able to make it.....although I think I'll be getting at least one more year out of my newly torn apart and rebuilt '06. I've already had this bike longer than any other dirtbike (or street bike for that matter), i've ever owned

When do you get your 2010's in?

Good Times at Battle Creek

wanna do one of those in NY? (i'd come but i'm the other end of NY from MI)

For now all I can say is that we're having a demo day at Battle Creek, but I can almost assure you it would be worth the drive. GoFasters has pledged to support with some of their bikes, the barbeque will be on, and the next day is one of Michigan's best hare scrambles. Battle Creek is consistently one of our riders' favorite trails, and was site to a national HS last year to boot. We're doing scoring by MotoTally this season so you'd know your finish almost as soon as your three hours of love was up!

Jump in the truck - you know you want to. :)

I do want to, but it's 670 miles one way... and that's if i take a short cut through canada. as i said, i'm the OTHER side of new york.

It's On Like Donkey-Kong!

We're locked and loaded for a great time Saturday the 22nd. Dale at GasGas has stepped up and shipped more bikes, so our "taste test" will include the 250 and 300 two-strokes and the 250 four-stroke.

The Battle Creek Motorcycle Club has carved out a special section of woods, grass, and MX tracks for the demo, and we'll be running from 1-5. The grounds are just north of town at 21758 Waubascon Road, Battle Creek, MI 49017-7622.

I'll post a separate ride report from Friday's run at the Long Lake Trail in Cadillac MI, but suffice it to say the new bikes are fantastic. The Battle Creek club always puts on a great event too, so come for the demo, stay over and run the hare scrambles on the 23rd. You'll be glad you did!

well..... who made it out for the demo rides , anyone ?? anyone ride the new 250 4T , Im curious as to what anyone thought about it , were getting 5 coming in to Canada soon (probably coming over with the Nambotin shipment) and they will be keeping one as Dave Fair's bike at Gas Gas Pacific that he will demo , but i just want to hear some opinions now. The bike did tweak my interest some , tho the reviews Ive read are some what mixed , as i get the impression it needs some jetting work but overall it seems like a great bike.

We had a great time yesterday, with about 25 guys sampling the wares on a very challenging circuit. The guys at the Battle Creek Motorcycle Club did their best, but the open sandy sections that were being prepped for today's race were essentially 8 inches deep and really tough to power through. Even the 300 felt slow in those sections, so the corked-up 250Fse had no chance.

Unfortunately the long-awaited FMF pipe and jetting didn't arrive in time for the event, so we ran with the Euro spec system. If that's what you get, you will be disappointed in the bike's mid and up power.

That having been said, riders universally praised the suspension, brakes, handling, balance, ergonomics, and overall built quality of not only the 250Fse but the 250 and 300 as well.

The track got a thorough working over all through the night and, combined with the breeze and blazing sun, and was fabulous today. Not to give too much away, but I holeshot my class of seven from a dead-engine start in deep sand on a 2010 EC250. KTM300s and YZF450s in the rear-view, clear track ahead ...

XCs (250 and 300) do not have the computer, but they do have the magnet in the front rotor so installation is straightforward.
